Co-op’s newest store launches today (Friday, 8 November) in Heald Green (near Stockport).

Located in a residential apartment development in Wilmslow Road, Heald Green, the brand new, 2,500 sq ft Co-op store, serves-up a focus on fresh, healthy and chilled produce alongside an extensive range of meal ideas and everyday essentials; food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade products; award winning beers and wines; ready meals; pizzas; vegan and, plant-based products. All Co-op’s own branded meat is 100% British including in its pies, sandwiches and ready meals.

This week has also seen Co-op relaunch three stores following major refurbishment programmes in Aviemore (in the Cairngorms National Park in the Scottish Highlands); Shotts (North Lanarkshire) and Fairwater (Cardiff).

The new Heald Green store has online home delivery of groceries available through Deliveroo, Just Eat, Uber Eats and, Co-op’s own online shop – shop.coop.co.uk – with orders picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the local community.

A Costa Coffee Express machine is included.

Parcel collection services are available via an InPost Locker, and payment services are provided through PayPoint. A cash machine (ATM) also provides access to cash in the community.

Customer car parking is available with two electric vehicle charging points.

Co-op Members enjoy a wide range of benefits including member-only price savings across everyday essentials, along with personalised offers via the Co-op Membership App.

A soft plastic recycle unit is also available in store to enable the community to return ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches - ensuring all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable through either local authority kerbside collections, or the in-store soft plastic recycling.
