Crisp-mas has come early for snack lovers as Co-op brings back its beloved Roast Potato Crisps after a three-year hiatus.

Back by popular demand, the fan favourite has returned to Co-op stores nationwide this September as part of the retailer's eagerly anticipated festive crisp range, giving shoppers one of the first tastes of Christmas.

Roast Potato Crisps

First launched in 2019, the crisps quickly developed a loyal fan base thanks to their surprisingly bold taste despite a seemingly simple name. More than just potato, they combine sea salt, garlic, rosemary and black pepper to recreate the seasonings that transform the humble roast potato into the star of Christmas dinner.

Ever since disappearing from shelves in 2023, shoppers have been calling for their return, with comments including:

"Bring back the Ultimate Roast Potato flavour"

"Any chance of Roast Potatoe flavour returning please?”

“Where did your roast potato crisps go?... please can we have them back?”

Now, the retailer has brought it back with a new crinkle-cut twist, joining another festive favourite, Pigs in Blankets Crisps, alongside a gourmet new edition, Wagyu Beef & Caramelised Onion flavour. Each flavour is made with carefully selected British potatoes and are hand cooked in small batches for the perfect crunch every time.

Natalie Dawe, Crisps, Snacks and Nuts Development Manager at Co-op, said: "Our crisps have developed something of a cult following over the years, with our customers regularly championing their favourites. This year, we're delighted to bring back our Roast Potato Crisps and what I love about them is that the flavour always sparks discussion… it’s much more than meets the eye! Combining salt, garlic, rosemary and black pepper to recreate the taste of perfectly seasoned roasties.

Alongside Pigs in Blankets and our new Wagyu Beef & Caramelised Onion flavour, we're excited to bring that early festive feeling to shoppers!”
