East Looe Co-op is welcoming members and customers back in store as it relaunches following an extensive programme of works and improvements.

Mayor Stephen Remington and Deputy Mayor Jamie Pearn joined the store team to officially re-opened the Co-op store in East Looe following its much anticipated refurbishment and relaunch.

Located in Fore Street, East Looe – and one of two Co-op stores serving the community – the 'popular' store has been extensively refurbished and relaunches with a fresh new look, including new flooring, ceilings, lighting and, new refrigeration which not only further cuts Co-op’s carbon footprint, but also enhances the fresh, chilled and frozen range.

The store also welcomed a brand new electric Co-op ‘same-day delivery’ van which serves Looe.

Located conveniently close to car parks, the store is ‘popular’ with residents and visitors who have welcomed its relaunch. Works have been ongoing since late 2024, with structural works also undertaken.

An extensive range of fresh and healthy products, food-to-go and meal deals is available, along with Fairtrade goods; pizzas; flowers; ready meals, award winning wines and beers and, everyday essentials is available. Member price savings creating additional value for Co-op members who can save more with personalised offers, deals and promotions and, lower prices on the products shoppers buy most.

Stacey Pavely, Co-op’s Area Operations Manager, said: “We have had a great response, the store is popular locally and there has been considerable excitement about our relaunch. The whole team is delighted to invest in East Looe. The store looks fantastic, transformed with a fresh new look designed to enhance the customer shopping experience.
