Farnsfield’s Co-op and Post Office relaunches (Thursday, 26 February) with a fresh new look following a seven-week investment programme to ‘transform’ the community store.

Co-op

The store, located in Main Street, Farnsfield (Nottinghamshire), supports 14 local jobs, and opens between 7am-10pm daily.

Co-op is committed to backing Britain’s high streets and communities and has invested in its Farnsfield store which, in addition to Post Office services, includes a bakery and increased range and choice of fresh and healthy products. This sits alongside Co-op’s meal deals and food to go; Fairtrade products; ready meals; fresh meats and dairy; chilled beers and wines and, everyday essentials.

The online home delivery of groceries is also available through shop.coop.co.uk - with orders selected fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently in the community.

There are offers and promotions throughout the store, and member price savings create additional value for Co-op members who can save more with lower prices on the products shoppers buy most.

Craig Hemingway, Co-op Area Manager, said: “We’re delighted to invest in Farnsfield, the store has been transformed with a great new look. We’re focussed on backing Britain’s high streets and communities, creating stores that are a hub locally and contribute to local life - conveniently meeting the needs of their community. The store has a focus on offering quality products, value and choice that can be enjoyed by everyone, along with a range of added services including the Post Office and the quick online home delivery of groceries which are picked fresh in the store and delivered locally. We’re here to contribute to local life and conveniently serve and support our community.”

Soft plastic recycling is available in store - making it easier for shoppers to return and recycle materials that are often not universally accepted via kerbside recycling, such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.

Earlier this year, in a UK convenience retailer first, Co-op launched new own-brand GLP-1 friendly meals, specially developed for shoppers with smaller appetites, as part of Co-op’s new “Good Fuel” health range offer.

Co-op also has a commitment to backing British agriculture, with all of its fresh and frozen meat 100% British – including in its pies, ready meals and sandwiches.

Co-op’s Farnsfield store is one of 18 stores Co-op confirmed it would open in the first three months of 2026, these are either brand new stores or stores re-launching after transformative investment.

Co-op is one of the world’s largest consumer-owned co-operatives, with its history dating back more than 180 years. Co-op exists to create value for its membership and communities, its 7 million members own the business and play an intrinsic part in the governance of the organisation.
