Inverness’ Church Street Co-op re-launches with a fresh new-look and improved services following an extensive programme of works and improvements.

The Church Street store – which supports 18 local jobs including the creation of new positions - has been ‘transformed’ with a brand new look and layout and is welcoming members and customers back into the local store.

Stand-alone Post Office services have been added after Co-op agreed to hosting the Post Office to maintain the vital community service.

There is also a new over-counter hot food, soup and, fresh cake range from Inverness-based bakery, Harry Gow.

This sits alongside Costa Coffee Express; bakery and, focus on fresh and healthy products; food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade goods; pizzas; flowers; ready meals, award winning wines and beers and, everyday essentials. The latest refrigeration not only cuts Co-op’s carbon footprint, but also enhances the store’s fresh, chilled and frozen range.

The online home delivery of groceries is offered through Deliveroo, Just Eat and Uber Eats – orders are picked fresh in the local store and delivered quickly and conveniently locally, often in as little as 60 minutes or less.

A discount is available in store for Young Scot cardholders.

The programme of works also included necessary structural work to the fabric of the building.

Member price savings create additional value for Co-op members who can save more with personalised offers, deals and promotions and, lower prices on the products shoppers buy most.

Soft plastic recycling is also available in store, making it easier for shoppers to return harder to recycle materials such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.
