After ‘bagging’ an 86th minute winner on Wednesday night, football fans needing to re-fuel during England’s last 16 match with Mexico can score knockout deals from Co-op who have extended online opening hours upto 4am across 130 stores for the upcoming crucial encounter.

As the three-lions head to Mexico City to serve up a footballing feast, Co-op is gearing-up to ensure stores in towns and cities across England are available for online orders and quick and convenient home delivery for fans.

Co-op extended its online opening hours for group stage matches and continues to offer the service when England progresses into the last 16.

Fan favourites include beers and soft drinks – driven by Co-op’s supersaver of two stone-baked pizzas and four Budweiser beers for just £5 for Members*; sandwiches and meal deals; and even berry’s – with Co-op's 100% British strawberries leading the line.

With night-time temperatures increasing again, sharing packs of Magnum ice-cream and other frozen favourites are also expected to continue to click with online consumers.

Co-op estimates that tens of millions of people are within reach of the participating stores, and are able to benefit from the additional quick deliveries.

The stores are located in towns and cities including Brighton and Bristol; Liverpool and London, Manchester, Newcastle and Sheffield - with the deliveries taking place late at night and in the early hours, quieter roads also extend the catchment area.

Working closely with all its major partners, Uber Eats, Just Eats, Deliveroo and Amazon – along with Co-op's own online shop, shop.coop.co.uk – fans can get match-night essentials, drinks and sharing food delivered direct to their door in minutes.

Gary Kisby, Co-op’s Quick Commerce Trading Director, said: “As we go deeper into the tournament, excitement and anticipation is growing for fans. Sport is such a great occasion for people to come together – even at 1am. Working with our delivery partners, we are supporting shoppers by extending online trading hours from more than 100 stores. Online shoppers can stock-up on deals and promotions, including the convenience retailer’s tournament supersaver where Co-op Members can score two pizzas and a pack of beer** (including 0% beer or soft drinks options) for just £5 – saving a total of £8.75 (non-members pay £6 and save £7.75.
