A North Lanarkshire town, Shotts, sees the re-launch of its Co-op today (Thursday, 7 November) with a fresh new look following the conclusion of an eight-week programme of works and improvements to ‘transform’ the store.

Located in Station Road, Shotts, Co-op’s new-look store supports 20 local jobs and serves-up an increased range of fresh, healthy and chilled produce alongside its focus on meal ideas and everyday essentials; bakery, food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade products; award winning wines; ready meals; pizzas; vegan and, plant-based products. All Co-op’s own branded meat is 100% British including in its pies, sandwiches and ready meals.

A Costa Coffee Express machine has been added. Parcel collection services are available via Amazon, DPD and an InPost locker, and payment services are provided through PayPoint. There is a photo booth and self-service laundromat. Customer car parking is also available.

Co-op Members enjoy a wide range of benefits including member-only price savings across everyday essentials, and personalised offers via the Co-op Membership App.

The Young Scot card is also accepted and offers a 10% discount off groceries.

A soft plastic recycle unit is available in store to enable the community to return ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches - ensuring all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable through either local authority kerbside collections, or the in-store soft plastic recycling.
