Penrhiwceiber’s Co-op re-opens (Friday, 20 June) with a fresh new look following a four-week programme of works and improvements to ‘transform’ the community store.

The village store supports 12 local jobs and opens between 7am-10pm daily, it includes payment services via PayPoint, and a cash machine providing free access to cash in the community, alongside an extensive range of fresh and chilled produce, in-store bakery, food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade products, pizzas, flowers; ready meals, award winning wines and everyday essentials.

Works have also been carried out back-of-shop to improve operations, the store also has new flooring and, new refrigeration which enhances the chilled range and supports Co-op’s commitment to further cut its carbon footprint. In addition, soft plastic recycling enables shoppers to return and recycle materials such as crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches.

Member price savings create additional value for Co-op’s member-owners, with personalised offers for members and lower prices on the products shoppers buy most.
