St Ives Co-op re-launches following six-week programme of works and improvements

Co-op re-launches a St Ives store today (Friday, 16 February) following a six-week programme of works and improvements.
The convenience retailer’s Royal Square, St Ives, store opens between 7am-11pm daily and, supports 12 local jobs. It is one of three Co-op stores in St Ives, with others located in The Stennack and Tregenna Place.
Designed to serve and support the community and tourists, conveniently, Co-op’s near 2,000 sq ft Royal Square store includes an in-store bakery alongside a focus on fresh, healthy products; meal ideas; everyday essentials; food-to-go; chilled beers and award winning wines; ready meals; pizzas; Fairtrade products and, free-from; vegan and plant-based products.
Self-scan tills have been added for extra speed and convenience, especially during peak times. A soft plastic recycle unit is also available in store to enable the community to recycle ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches - ensuring all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable through either local authority kerbside collections, or the in-store recycling unit.
Enhanced back of shop storage and warehousing also further improves product availability and, operational resilience.
Co-op also offers the online home delivery of groceries from its stores in St Ives, delivering within a 10-mile radius. Orders placed through Co-op’s online shop – shop.coop.co.uk – are picked fresh in store, and delivered quickly and conveniently in and around the area.
