11 July 2024
Co-op relaunches its Ombersley Road store (Thursday, 11 July) with a fresh new-look following a seven-week programme of works and improvements to transform the store.
Located at 46, Ombersley Road, the near 6,000 sq ft store supports over 25 local jobs.
The store is the larger of two Co-op’s on Ombersley Road, and serves-up a Costa Coffee Express, in-store bakery and hot food along with a focus on fresh, chilled and healthy produce; meal ideas and everyday essentials; food-to-go and meal deals; Fairtrade products, flowers, chilled beers and award-winning wines; greetings cards; ready meals, pizzas and, free-from, vegan and plant-based products.
An Amazon Locker provides parcel collection services, and the online home delivery of groceries – where products are picked fresh by the local Co-op store and then delivered quickly and conveniently in the community – are available through Just Eat and Uber Eats.
An external self-service laundromat has also been added for the washing and drying of all types of laundry.
Co-op is committed to supporting UK farmers, growers and suppliers, with all of its fresh and frozen meat and poultry, including in its ready meals, pies and freshly prepared sandwiches, 100% British.
A soft plastic recycle unit is available in store to enable the community to recycle ‘soft plastics’ including: crisp packets and bread bags, lids from ready meals and yogurt pots, biscuit wrappers and, pet food pouches - ensuring all Co-op’s own food packaging is recyclable either through local authority kerbside collections, or the in-store recycling unit.

We are really enjoying welcoming our members and customers back into their new-look Co-op.
