As a young Muslim and a member of the BAME community, I’m passionate about greater and fairer BAME representation in many fields of life, not just in the co-operative movement.

I want the Co-op to be a more inclusive place for members as well as the communities they live in. I want to give them more opportunities to engage with senior leaders and run campaigns which are of relevance to them, as well as ensuring they are represented. I also believe young people play a crucial role within their communities; I want to see greater opportunities for their creativity and experiences come through.
