Dear member, it’s a great pleasure to request your support for a seat on the Council. Previously, I was Chair of the Wilts Dorset Area Committee. If elected I will promote our Values and Principles and promote Fairtrade to all our members. Our Co-operative Society has gone through great changes and we still offer people a real Co-operative family, I will work to uphold. I look forward to working with you. Paul R Kimber.

Dear member. It’s a great pleasure to request your support for a seat on the Council; previously I was Chair of the Wilts Dorset Area Committee and served on the Regional Board and finished as a member of our Council. I was pleased to pass and receive a Qualification of a Distinction of Co-operation during my previous period on the South West Board. During this period I organised a trip to Mondragon the heart of Spanish Co-operative movement and was warmly welcomed by the Spanish Co-operative. I believe our strength is to work with our friends and colleagues from all over the world to learn from them and also give help. Our Co-operatives are a reminder to the international community that it is important to pursue both economic viability and social responsibility spent many years in my previous working life as a Ships Engineer, working in and around many parts of the South West.

Later I worked as a Transport Officer working for Dorset Social Services working with the elderly and disabled. I will always treasure this experience and value our social services in the South West. These are challenging times for the UK economy, and I would argue our wider Co-operative Movement can meet the challenge to give a Co-operative a future; with many years of proven ability. We put Equality’s and democracy firmly as a principal and Co-operatives are once again coming to the fore with a credible voice, being able to deliver, widening ownership and sharing profits. Lastly I am member of the Co-operative Party presently serving as a Labour and Co-operative Borough Councillor on the Weymouth and Portland Borough Council working cooperation with the community.
