I’m a 57 year old Guernseyman who has been on the Board of Channel Islands Co-op for 23 years, including a 5 year stint as President. I drove “hippy busses” to/from/around India in the late 1970s. In 1982, at the age of 23, I became the youngest member of Guernsey’s parliament. From 1992 – 2,000 I was a broadcast journalist working first for the BBC then Channel Television. I then re-entered Guernsey politics and held both the Agriculture and Health portfolios. These days I am a smallholder and freelance writer. I am absolutely passionate about the concept of co-operation and mutual ownership.
