I used to be a Co-op Food store manager in East London and am therefore doubly interested in the success of the Co-op. Particularly keen for colleagues to engage more with the membership side of the business and for the Co-op to cascade our values and principles and heritage down to the colleagues more effectively. I certainly think we miss a trick by not enthusing colleagues to be advocates for co-operation and even more so by not promoting our values and principles as aggressively as we promote our brand. Now retired, I read thrillers and support Spurs - both stretch the imagination at times.
