I believe in Fairtrade and it is for this reason that I am standing for election at the Co-op. I am in the fortunate position where what something is and represents is more important to me than what it costs. And I will not deviate from that belief.

As someone that has worked for the BBC for 20 years, I believe I have demonstrated how to uphold a set of values. As a published author of several books, I believe I have the profile necessary to enrich the already substantial reach of the Co-op in this area. And as a father of two and devoted husband, I know what it is like to stand for something and defend it. For my three years, I will listen to your concerns and make sure that the Co-op strives to be better every day.
