Summer Campaign Winners

Summer Campaign 2023

Each week for our summer campaign, Co-op Members entered into a draw to win £100 for them and £50 for a local community cause. Here are our 7 winners.

Week 1

Richard Smith from Plymouth has won £100 on his Co-op membership card and £50 for his chosen local cause, Pollenize.

On winning, Richard said:

"Wow, thank you so much. I imagine - like a lot of people - I enter these things not expecting anything but here we are. Just need to decide what Co-op goodies to celebrate with now.

"I support Pollenize because I like nature, particularly bees. They are dedicated to bringing their knowledge and expertise of pollinators to the local community using their own bee hives positioned at several sites around Plymouth."

On winning, Caroline said:

"I support Tremains Woodland Rangers as I've got a lot out of walking and general exercise, especially in the countryside. It helps me so much to get out in the fresh air. I feel so much better for getting outside.”

Week 6

Rebecca Guest from Manchester has won £100 on her Co-op membership card and £50 for her chosen local cause, Read Easy Stockport.

On winning, Rebecca said:

"I am nominating Read Easy as my chosen cause as a mental health lifesaver through reading and coaching in the local area.”

Week 7

Elaine Bateman from Stroud has won £100 on her Co-op membership card and £50 for her chosen local cause, Cruse Bereavement Support Gloucester.

On winning, Elaine said:

“I would love to accept this prize and buy some extra items to put in the food bank this month. I would like the £50 voucher to go to Cruse Bereavement Support Gloucester.

“I was my wonderful Mum’s carer for the last months of her life. When she died, I felt a lot of guilt and as though I no longer had a purpose.

“Bereavement support helped me realise that I had done everything I could do and everything she needed me to, so I felt able to move on.

“I would recommend anyone who is struggling to come to terms with their loss to take all the help offered by this wonderful service.”
