I am a retired Deputy Headteacher and private tutor.
Additional information
For many years I have been a member of Friends of the Earth and Amnesty international. I have recently joined Lincolnshire Wildlife Trust and the National Trust.
I have shopped regularly at the Co-op and am impressed with its values, especially with regard to Fairtrade and increasing respect for the environment.
As a Council Member, I will campaign for greater awareness of the needs of diabetics, who frequently struggle in shops to find a range of suitable products and whose needs are often not catered for in cafes and restaurants.
I care greatly about human impact on our environment and will encourage the promotion of alternatives to non-degradable plastic. I see fly-tipping as a major problem and will campaign for new initiatives to alleviate this.
