We continue to campaign for social justice in our members' communities, as we have since we were founded.

Central to our campaign is our Bright Future programme, which offers victims of modern slavery a paid work placement and the opportunity of a job in our business.
In 2017 we became the first UK business to win the Thomson Reuters Stop Slavery Award, in recognition of our work against modern slavery.
With the British Red Cross we’ve established Community Connector services in 39 communities across the UK. These services help people experiencing loneliness reconnect to their communities.
We were a founder member of the Jo Cox Commission on Loneliness, calling on the government to recognise loneliness as a major issue in society. This led to the appointment of a Minister with responsibility for loneliness.
To take forward the legacy of the Commission, we, together with the Red Cross, launched a Loneliness Action Group to make sure the government continues to treat loneliness and fund activity designed to combat it.
