Our Co-op welcomes motions put forward by individual members, it is what strengthens our democracy and what makes our Co-op the inclusive and distinctive business that it is today. As a member-owner co-operative, submitting a motion for consideration at our AGM is just one of the many ways our member-owners can have their say and tell us about things they care about.

There are different types of motions. In each case, member-owners have the option to vote for a motion, vote against a motion or to abstain. Some motions are binding and some are advisory.

Below we have set out the types of motion that can be found on this year's AGM notice.

You can find out more about our full list of motions on our 2025 AGM Motions page.
